I often wonder why some kids tend to do physical activities better than others, how some kids catch up in lessons easily when others do not. Being able to do what others finds difficult to do is associated with more practice. After all, practice makes perfect.
Although, mother’s milk is proven to help the child’s brain development, the fact still holds that without somebody, say the immediate family,, teaching the child, they would know nothing. Remember that a child’s mind is like a tabula rasa or a clean sheet of paper. Everything written on the child’s mind is a result of their experiences. About 90 % of what the children learns come from what he or she experience rather than what he hears or see.
It is a must to understand that a child has no sense of what is right and what is wrong. What they perceive to be right are those that they see from their adults because they trust them in the first place.
Don’t hesitate to explain things on the child’s point of view. Don’t let their incapacity to understand be a hindrance for their capacity to learn. If they have to learn, they have to understand.
The answer to the question “Are there really child who are gifted?” is Yes! These are children gifted with people surrounding them patient enough to teach them.
